Damian Palacios All the tracks are excellent! My favorite is So Good as I really love the chill positive dance vibe this song gives out. Someone in L.A is a little more melancholic and moody and my 2nd favorite. Topanga and the 3rd track round out an excellent release by Cherokee. I have been following his music since 2012 and continue to love his musical progression. Favorite track: So Good (feat. Goto).

Cherokee returns with a third EP “Californism” independently released and produced by the artist himself. This new instalment features four new original songs that offers listeners a seemingly perfect blend of pop and funk sonorities, disco-funk and French house, and even a soft and intimate R&B ballad. Cherokee features vocals from artists he has met along the project’s path, such as Netherlands’ Knight One, Korean pop artist YESEO, and Parisian collaborator Goto. This tracklist manages to transport listeners into that “let go and dance” mentality - the music is simply freeing and flowing and is nothing short of addictive.

"Californism" won the award for best Dance/Electronica EP at the 18th edition of the US Independent Music Awards.

The sort of music that is beyond time. The sort of music that you feel more than you hear. I love the fact that vaporwave/dreampunk projects like these have such extremely evocative aesthetics they directly fill your mind with sensations you didn't know you had. You'd maybe think it relies on that solely, but it's coupled with gorgeous musicianship + intense production ideas. The volume and spaces it creates just pull you in instantly whatever your initial mood was. Still stunning to this day. SUPRAQUENCER
